Arium AE receives Award of Excellence.

At the NAIOP DC | MD Awards Gala, held on October 23 at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., Arium AE was delighted to have been presented with an Award of Excellence. The program recognizes outstanding achievements in commercial real estate projects throughout Washington, D.C., Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Frederick counties in Maryland.

Arium received an award for Best Renovation Adaptive Reuse. We are pleased to share this recognition with great partners and teammates, including KCI Technologies, Keller Brothers, Savoy Brown, East West Sign Group LLC, American Design Associates, Walker Consultants, and Alain Jaramillo Photography.

The team partnered with the City of Laurel to transform a 42,000 SF derelict racquetball and fitness center into a multiservice facility that serves community recreational needs, provides flexible recreational spaces, and offers critical support services for the transient population. The facility provides an emergency homeless shelter, short-term housing, healthcare services, job assistance, a salon, showering and laundry facilities, meeting spaces, a clothing store, and a full-service kitchen. Built for safety, the center is also equipped to serve as an emergency weather shelter, providing a vital community resource.
