We ensured zero downtime throughout the duration of the project.

Arium AE supported a mission-critical federal agency in the strategic, phased replacement of aging HVAC infrastructure within a continuously operating facility where downtimes were not feasible. Recognizing the importance of maintaining uninterrupted service in critical 24/7 operational areas, we developed innovative engineering solutions and carefully sequenced implementation plans to ensure zero downtime throughout the duration of the project.

The design approach focused on enabling equipment changeouts during limited off-peak windows, including overnight and weekend periods, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Temporary systems, redundancy strategies, and detailed coordination protocols were incorporated to maintain environmental control and system reliability at all times.

The scope of work included the replacement of major mechanical equipment, such as air-handling units (AHUs), chillers, and associated distribution systems. Each phase was meticulously planned and executed to seamlessly integrate new infrastructure with existing systems while preserving continuous functionality. Close collaboration with facility stakeholders, contractors, and operations personnel was essential to successfully delivering the project under highly constrained conditions.

Through this effort, Arium AE enhanced system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency, while ensuring the facility’s mission-critical functions remained fully operational without interruption.
