Arium AE is Now Hiring Electrical & Mechanical Engineers

Arium AE, an energetic architecture and engineering design firm with 36 years of experience, is seeking an electrical engineer and/or a mechanical engineer to join our growing mid-sized team. 

Our firm is a well-established design practice with a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial, industrial, institutional, and government sectors throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our integrated design studio of architects, engineers, and interior designers provides a full range of services, from schematic design to construction administration, for a wide range of new construction and interior renovation projects. Our project types include commercial offices, industrial and warehouse facilities, data centers, secure government facilities, institutional facilities, biotech and healthcare facilities, and restaurant and retail spaces.

We support our clients’ needs through the following engineering service offerings: conceptual design and scope development, cost estimation, economic evaluations, including energy modeling, LEED documentation, construction documents, construction administration services, and start-up and commissioning. The perfect candidate should have proven capabilities in all design phases, including experience in developing construction and permit documents and construction administration services. 

The applicant should be:

• Capable of managing multiple projects, organizing workflow, and delegating tasks to others
• Capable of clearly communicating design concepts visually, in written text, and verbally to clients
• Adept in fostering and maintaining relationships with clients and consultants
• Capable of mentoring and leading teams
• Supportive of other engineers or project managers
• Capable of directing CAD and/or REVIT designers and other engineers in the preparation of construction drawings 
• Willing to supervise the development of computer-aided design (CAD/REVIT) project drawings from junior team members
• Able to interpret applicable codes 

Applicant minimum requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related engineering field
• 4 to 12+ years of experience working in an A/E or MEP firm
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit capabilities required
• Construction experience is a plus
• Provide own transportation to local project sites
• Must be Legal to work in the U.S.

The position is full-time, in-person, Monday through Friday. Salary commensurate with ability.

Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to Columbia, Maryland, or Tysons, Virginia. A reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
