Arium AE is proud to highlight our on-call work with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland.

Johns Hopkins APL is a nationally recognized research and engineering organization tackling some of the country’s most complex challenges, advancing work in national security, space exploration, emerging technologies, and applied science.

Through this on-call contract, Arium AE has provided architecture, interior design, and MEP engineering design services for a wide range of mission-focused campus projects. Our work has included research and laboratory environments, office and administrative spaces, SCIF and secure area improvements, security access points, planning and interior modifications, infrastructure coordination, and exterior building repair projects.

Many of these assignments require careful coordination within active, occupied facilities where security, schedule, constructability, and continuity of operations are critical. Our integrated team supports these projects from early assessments and design recommendations through drawings, specifications, permitting support, and construction-phase services.

What began as an on-call contract has grown into a strong, long-term client relationship. Arium AE continues to support Johns Hopkins APL with additional services that respond to the evolving needs of its campus, facilities, and mission-driven work.

We’re honored to support a client whose work has such a meaningful impact, and we’re proud to bring responsive, integrated design expertise to complex projects where security, coordination, and reliability matter.
