Arium AE provided architectural and engineering design services for Kudu Dynamics in Maryland. A Leidos owned company, Kudu was forged from a decade of experience in computer network operations and staffed with talent who have built, overseen, and enhanced capabilities across the entire USG arsenal.
Our scope of work included a hospitality-inspired workplace design featuring a new secure suite, private and open work areas, program rooms, huddle and conference spaces, generous amenity areas, and a laboratory with warehouse storage. Design elements include warm wood finishes, a rich material palette, eclectic decor, layered seating options, and a bar-centric layout. The darker natural tones throughout the space introduce a sense of grandeur and craftsmanship while softening the overall workplace environment, balancing the precision and performance associated with a defense-focused organization with a more inviting, human-scaled atmosphere. At the heart of the space, café-style seating and a bar amenity create a social hub that feels refined and welcoming, supporting both community-building and focused conversation within a secure, modern office setting.
