Arium AE provided full architecture and MEP engineering design services for the extensive renovation of a natural and organic pet treat manufacturing facility in Westminster, MD. The project enabled a dry ingredient processing operation to expand into a large-scale facility incorporating raw meat processing. Key features include a freezer/cooler building addition, dedicated meat processing areas, sanitation rooms, three 60-foot industrial dehydrators, and specialized equipment washrooms.
To ensure food safety and regulatory compliance, the design carefully separated raw and processed operations, keeping ingredient preparation distinct from finished product areas. Arium also prioritized efficient workflow by coordinating the movement of people and materials throughout the facility. To support communication and client engagement, the team developed a full 3D model of the facility, illustrating the progress and features of the design.
